It is the last week of the month.  Here is your monthly dose of “Five Bullet Friday.” A list of a few things I'm thinking about or exploring.

1. Short Article I Read: Bank of Canada Holds Key Rate at 5%, Signals It's Done With Hikes
This week, the Bank of Canada has decided to hold the rates again. This is a good sign for those looking to buy or sell this coming year. As we have noticed a slight increase in activity since the new year. The momentum is headed in an upward direction sooner than we had predicted. So if you are on the side lines, I suggest getting ahead of the crowds.

2. Quote I’m Pondering: “Every man I meet is my master in some point, and in that I learn of him.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
You can learn something from everyone. There are better gift-givers, name-rememberers, weight-lifters, temper-controllers, confidence-carriers, and friendship-makers. So if you can find the humility to accept this about yourself, what you will realize is that the world is one giant classroom. Go about your day with an openness and a joy about this fact. Look at every interaction as an opportunity to learn from and of the people you meet. You will be amazed at how quickly you grow, how much better you get.

3. Listing Of the Week: The Candy Factory Lofts - 993 Queen St W409
The iconic Candy Factory Lofts. This is definitely my favourite building in the city. Any time I get the opportunity to visit I jump all over it. Located right across from Trinity Bellwoods on Queen West. Surrounded by Restaurants , cafes, shopping! Let's go see it in person!

4. Home Selling Tip
When you decide to list your home, it is something I like to call the closet illusion. Keep your closet 50% full. This gives a potential buyer the idea that there is tons of space and storage is not an issue here. Trust me on this.

5. Film I Watched: Society Of The Snow Society Of The Snow.  You can watch today on Netflix. It is nominated for best Foreign film at the Oscars in March 2024. It's a true story of a Uruguayan rugby team flying to Peru through the Andes mountains in the middle of winter. The plane crashes. They become incredibly difficult to find by rescue teams. Powerful story about what humans are capable of. Watch it, and let me know when you do, I have a question for you about the film.

Much love to you and yours, Josh
