Josh's 5 Bullet Friday

It is the last Friday of the month.  Here is your monthly dose of “Five Bullet Friday”. A list of a few things I'm thinking about or exploring.

  • Short Article I Read:
    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-record-immigration-1.6891590

More than 145,000 immigrants came to Canada in the first three months of this year. That's the highest number on record for a single quarter since comparable data became available in 1972. Canada is growing rapidly. We recently hit 40 Million people. How do you think this will affect our economy? What do you think this will do for our real estate market?

  • Quote I’m Pondering:
“Attitude is the little thing that makes a big difference” Winston Churchill

This is a great reminder. Sometimes your attitude makes all the difference. We get caught up and don't take time to reflect and think. But perhaps while you are reading this quote from the great Winston Churchill, you will take this into your day ahead.

  • Listing Of the Week:

  • Something I celebrated:
Benefits of a 24 Hour Fast

This past month I completed a 24 hour fast, Sunday 7:00 pm - Monday 7:00 pm. I have attached a link above to support some of the health benefits. I am sure you’ve heard a lot of them before. But not only is this good for your body and your health, it is a practice of discipline. Not eating whenever you feel like it. If you have created a habit of late night snacking, this might help you realize you don't need that bowl of ice cream.

  • Home Tip:
Maintaining Your Flooring - Here are a few tips for maintaining your flooring without damaging it.

Ceramic Tiles: Clean the grout lines with a product specifically designed for this purpose. Let the product soak in, scrub out the grout with a clean brush and rinse. You can easily clean the surface of the tiles with a mixture of water and white vinegar.
Vinyl: This popular material is easy to care for and will look new for years. Gently mop the floor with a vinyl cleaner to remove grime. Then, rinse with clean water and let dry.
Laminate Floor: This type of flooring is practical and attractive but vulnerable to moisture. Therefore, avoid soaking it with water while washing it. Purchase products designed for these floors.
Hardwood: Restore the shine of this elegant material with a no rinse cleaner. That way, you wont leave behind streaks or residue. If you use items like scouring pads or tools to remove stains you could end up causing damage to the floor’s finish.

Much love to you and yours,

Joshua
